"We loved our stay at the Red Bird House! The beautiful, modern home is perfectly sited on a private, quiet wooded property, with large windows that bring the natural world into the house. It has all the amenities of a home and the added pleasures of a spa stay! We had a wonderful soak in the large hot tub (four of us), and loved the sauna, salt booth, and steam shower. There’s a very cool thing called a Somadome for enhanced meditation, and even a massage room (with a list of massage therapists you can hire, which we’ll use next time). Everything is thoughtfully user-friendly, with clear wall-mounted instructions, which makes using the spa relaxing and hassle-free. The hosts are great communicators and made everything effortless. When we booked our stay we’d anticipated exploring the area’s many antique shops and restaurants with, perhaps, a side trip to some Woodstock festival-related sites. But with all the amenities and comfort of the home and all the thoughtful touches (lots of games and puzzles, a fire pit!), we mostly stayed in. Next time we visit we’ll be sure to book an extra day or two to explore the area."

"Gary was a wonderful host who welcomed us to this cabin, right on the Lake, with a pizza and good old fashioned hospitality. We were tired from our travels and had a huge load of washing to do and Gary was very accommodating and helpful in allowing us to use nearby facilities. The cabin is rustic and enjoyable to be in. Great reclining couch chairs. Gary had set a fire for us too, such a great guy. The juke box was fun to play and listen to some fantastic music and we also visited the nearby Woodstock museum, which was amazing. Beautiful views, walks along the lake, sunrise and local wildlife. A highlight of our travels. Thanks Gary."

"The Love Shack is a wonderful getaway, as long as you welcome vintage decor. The juke box was great to enjoy while playing board games. Foosball was a blast from the past and provided laughs galore! The owner provided a ready to light fire and even a pizza upon arrival. The couches (one with 2 built in recliners) and beds were comfortable. Outdoor firepit and ping-pong a plus."

"I have family about 40 minutes away, but a great childhood friend who lives 10 minutes away and I wanted to have enough space for everyone to be able to relax. It was pretty perfect."

"We stayed at this lovely bungalo on White Lake as our basecamp while attending the Catbird Festival at Bethel Woods. The location was very conveniently located only a quick 10 min drive to the festival. The house was clean and well furnished to suit all our needs. Check-in & Check-out were effortless and the host was very responsive in answering any questions. I would recommend this property and host for future get-away stays."

"I planned a quick extended family getaway for the end of the summer and this place did not disappoint. In fact, it surpassed most of my expectations. Host is super responsive and helpful- communicates respectfully and clearly. The house itself is terrific for a bigger group- enough bedrooms/beds/bathrooms- and super comfy. One piece of advice I would give is to bring some paper plates and cups and such as the selection in the cabinets wasn't enough to get us through a day without running the dishwasher. Also, there are no kid-friendly items (plastic cups, smaller utensils, etc) so I would recommend bringing/buying a few of your own if you have younger kids. Speaking of younger kids- the indoor, roughly 3 ft deep pool is PERFECT for the littles as is the small play structure just outside. The kids also loved swimming in the lake, jumping off the end of the dock, fishing, and kayaking. We could not have drawn up a better home for our mini family reunion. One thing to be aware of is that many of the businesses in this area close for Shabbat at sundown on Friday, so plan accordingly! My family was so happy with the time we spent at this home. Everyone kept saying they would love to do it again next year. It was absolute perfection. 11/10 recommend!"
