"Overall, Very good"

"Our family (8 people) gathered for Easter Vacation at the Poggio Verde villa. We have rented several villas in the past decade in Italy, Spain, Greece and France, but this one was definitely the most comfortable and peaceful one. We were lucky to meet the very kind owners and learn a bit more from them on the history of the villa and region. The garden is amazing, with old trees and flowers, plenty of spaces calling for meditation. We also liked the open kitchen which is fully equipped as well as the multiple dining and sitting rooms, where we even played the piano. There are plenty of beautiful places to visit as well as restaurants for those who would like a more active holiday, around the lakes and mountains within 45mn-60mn drive, and also various towns including Milano (there's a convenient train station not to far away, to avoid traffic jams). Each bedroom has its own bathroom so the villa is also very convenient for a group or even professional gathering. Highly recommended."

"The hotel seems to have been refurbished recently. It was very clean. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. We stayed at the hotel due to a wedding that we were attending the next morning and we needed our wedding outfits to be ironed. At the cost of €15, it was taken care of professionally. We were able to collect our garments from the reception the next morning at 9am. "

"I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I particularly liked the dinner that was served. It included a three-course meal with wine. It was my first ever experience. My only regret is that I didn't have another chance to dine in their restaurant, as I spent most of my day in Milan. Would love to visit again some time in the future!"

"The uniqueness of this property lies in the fact that it's one of the very few in the area. Otherwise it's a small private run b&b for an affordable price. The room was clean and served its purpose. I appreciate the idea of serving breakfast in the rooms, it's cute, but it's terribly unpractical if the room is small and doesn't really offer a table where two people can comfortably sit and share a croissant. The other downside of this place is the general lack of a place to sit down. Unless you are willing to drive there is little to do in the immediate vicinity, unfortunately the b&b doesn't offer a garden/lobby/common space where one could sit down with a beer/snack etc. "

"My friends and I (3 couples) stayed in this beautiful apartment in August and we will definitely be back! It's an easy drive from Milan airport, and sits in a gated estate in the hills above Barzano, a sleepy nearby town. The apartment has clearly been refurbished recently and it's clean, well-equipped and very spacious, but still has the charm of a grand old Italian villa. The rooms all had AC, Wi-Fi and super comfortable beds. The weather was amazing so we spent our time swimming in the lovely pool, walking in the gardens and exploring the area. It's a very quiet and private place, and we loved cooking and eating on the terrace - the property is high up in the hills and the views are astonishing. Gretchen was incredibly helpful, and provided us with some great recommendations for restaurants and walks in the nearby forest. Overall a very relaxing and refreshing stay.
