The tidal causeway to Holy Island, with its priory and iconic castle, lies just a short drive away, as does the dramatic beach and castle at Bamburgh. Perfect for couples and small families seeking a laid-back coastal break, this single-storey cottage sleeps four and offers easy access to a range of local attractions. The nearby village of Haggerston offers a cosy pub, a small shop, and a golf course.


Inside, the cottage has a warm and homely feel. The dual-aspect lounge features a country-style dresser, comfy seating, a TV, and a striking red brick fireplace with an open fire – ideal for cosy evenings in after days out exploring. The bright kitchen also enjoys dual-aspect views over the garden and surrounding countryside, and is fully equipped with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. A dining table seats four comfortably for relaxed meals together. There are two well-presented bedrooms: one spacious double, and one twin with a dressing table and seating area – ideal for children or adults alike. The family bathroom includes a shower over the bath and a WC.


Outside, the enclosed garden offers a generous lawn bordered by hedges, along with a patio area and bench seating – perfect for unwinding in the sunshine or enjoying a peaceful morning coffee. Children will love having space to play, and a small gate at the bottom of the garden leads directly into the woodland, where there’s a stream and more to explore. With nature on the doorstep, it’s also a great spot for spotting local wildlife. Private parking is available for two cars.
