Days Inn and Suites by Wyndham Sikeston
8/10 Good
"We were traveling through and wanted a quiet clean place to sleep. This was quiet clean although it is a bit dated. Only issue with maintenance was the outlet in the bathroom did not work which did not bother us but it should be attended to. We actually had a suite so it was very spacious. It was about $30 less than other rooms that were available in the area so it was quite a value in my opinion."

"Loved the modern, CLEAN, room and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were greeted and served by "Brittany" at check-in who was so nice and friendly and even gave us dinner suggestions. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Our room was very clean and comfy. The bathroom was clean but could use an update. The bathroom tissue and face tissues are on the thin side. Breafast bar was excellent. The staff was very nice and helpful."
Peaceful secluded cabin located near Horseshoe Lake
8/10 Good
"I booked this cabin for a getaway for two adults and two dogs who don't like other dogs, and it was the perfect location for that. There are no other cabins within sight or within earshot, the road that runs by the cabin is quiet, and there's a park that's similarly very quiet about a 5-minute drive away. Check in was smooth and the cabin is very cute. The facilities, especially the shower, are pretty basic, but everything worked. The cabin is small, but comfortable for two people. There's AC and heating, so the temperature was comfortable. My notes are less a critique of the cabin, and more things to know: The water smells like rotten eggs, to the point where the entire bathroom stank after a shower. My dogs happily drank the tap water, so it seems safe - the area is marshy, so I suspect that explains the smell. If you're sensitive to smells, this might be a challenge. This is woods in the southern Midwest, so mosquitoes were out in force, and my dogs were covered in sticky pricklies the second they left the (nicely!) mowed area of the cabin - again, nothing to do with the cabin, just the reality of the area, and it meant we didn't spend a ton of time outside near the cabin. I might be interested in revisiting during a colder time of year when bugs and plants are dormant. I recommend bringing your own dry firewood because it's humid so any wood at the site might not burn very easily."
