Nice hotel, quiet with helpful staff
I was very happy with the hotel but my room was at the back of the hotel and there was a railway line a few meters away. The trains ran at frequent intervals until very late at night (they also appeared to run at intervals throughout the night) and this had considerable impact on my enjoyment of television programmes and on my ability to sleep particularly when two trains passed each other. Because the hotel was fully booked the staff were unable to relocate me to another room.

Look elsewhere if possible.
Nice staff. A bit removed from everything but close to public transport. Bed was terribly lumpy and uncomfortable. They did not change the sheets on the bed, which was gross.

A good night's sleep
We thought the receptionist very friendly and helpful. Since we had full days planned, we really only slept there, we didn't include breakfast either, so all I can really say is that the beds were fine. It was fairly quiet in the night as our room faced the street. Other rooms face the S-Bahn line, which runs all night and is pretty noisy. The cleansiness of the room was ok, although it looked like it hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner for a while...

Berlin hotel with excellent transport links.
Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful. Room was very good value. Cleaning under furniture was very bad (we moved the twin beds to make a double and there was lots of dust & general grubbiness). Other areas were cleaned well. Rooms were noisy - noise from busy road traffic at front of the hotel, and rooms at the back were next to train tracks. Beds were comfy & bedding very clean. Overall good value for easy access all around the city.

No frills hotel, with some frills!
It was a great stay in this hotel. It had a very homely feel about it. Rooms were spacious and clean. Had most of the mod cons you'd expect and wifi was included. It's close to the train station with easy access to central Berlin, and close to a number of shopping centres and restaurants. Recommended.

Not for me
I found there was a distinct lack of attention to detail when it came to the cleanliness of the bedroom. Amongst other things,the first room we were given, the shower plug hole was clogged with previous guests hair so left a pool of dirty water to stand in. The second room mildly better than the first bit still lacked in cleanliness. Ok price, breakfast average. Not in centre but great transport links close by to get to Alexanderplatz and Schonefeld airport.

it's like sleeping on the train tracks!
the room that I got was near the train tracks and was impossible to sleep due to the noise. Make sure you get a room on the side facing the street and not the train tracks ! Only silver lining was that I was staff was nice enough to give me 20% refund on my money

Great hotel for a great price!
Great location for the Berlin International Beer Festival; you will be a two-minute walk to the U-Bahn Frankfurter Allee station and two quick stops to the festival. Excellent hotel worth twice the price!

Good clean hotel, conveniently located
This hotel was conveniently located at the Berlin Frankfurter Alle stops on both U-bahn and S-bahn stations, and hence was perfect for frequent traveling, which we were doing. The first room we got was right next to the train, and so we heard the train every few minutes, but we got a room change and the new room was great. Good working wi-fi as well.

Hotel is situated very handy for the U + S Bahn
Adequate Hotel The only serious drawbacks is there is no Air Conditioning & if your at the back of the Hotel the main railway line is outside your window & in the Front your on the main emergency vehicle route so expect Sirens to go past all hours of the night.

I really enjoyed this hotel, unfortunately there aren't many restaurants around - but the travel links are great! The only problem was the heat but the hotel did provide us with a small fan! The noise of the trains wasn't as bad as other reviews say - you kind of blank it out after a few days. Definitely worth the price we payed! All the staff speak English and they allow you to safely leave your bags at reception of you arrive before check in - luckily my room was ready at 11am when I arrived which meant I did have to wait till 2pm to check in :)

Warm friendly welcome received. Only one night spent but met all my needs, except my room faces the train track hence the noise if the window is left open, then again it's not throughout the night, overall a comfortable rest. I will stay longer if ever visiting Berlin in the future and I'd surely recommend.

Neat hotel for little money
Clean, friendly hotel. Windows are sound proof, but when open there is traffic noise. On the other hand metro and S-Bahn are just two minutes walk away and in 10 min. you are downtown. free WiFi in the room - which is still a "goody" in Germany!

Basic, clean central hotel
The hotel was ideally located being around a 200-300m walk to the U Bahn, Ringbahn and 7 stops from Alexander Platz in the East city centre. There was also a shopping arcade located around 200m containing clothes shops, a supermarket, pharamacy, cafe and a number of fast food restaurants. The hotel exterior is quite dated however the room was clean, spacious and cosy. The bins and towels were changed every day. There is a busy street to the front of the hotel which did become noisy during rush hour however this was not a problem with the window closed.

The room was very small and the bathroom was tiny. The shower was almost impossible to get in and out of. The room backed onto a major rail corridor where trains passed every minute. It was very noisy.

Nice hotel, 10 mins from the city centre!
This hotel was conveniently located for getting around the city and is on a direct line from the airport! There is also a shopping centre right nearby which is very useful. The hotel staff were friendly and my single room was a decent size. Plenty of closet space and a nice bathroom. I only had two issues; 1)as it's located next to the railway line, if you have the window open the tv is drowned out by the noise. Also trains run throughout the night and can be heard with the window and curtains closed. 2) there were no 'do not disturb' door hangers, therefore it was only when the cleaner opened my door that I was able to inform her to leave the housekeeping until later. Apart from these minor issues I had an enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

Great little Hotel
Chose Georghof because at the time of my trip, it was the cheapest i could get as most of the main hotels in the city were either fully booked or expensive (Innotrans 2014 was on during my stay so that was the problem with getting somewhere in the city). It was easy to get to from the Airport as the S9 train goes to Frankfurter Allee, which is the nearest station to the hotel and is only a 5 min walk. Hotel has a friendly atmosphere to it and the people there were very friendly. The room was also comfortable and cannot really fault my stay.
