The house seemed to be under some renovation still, but that didn't cause any issues for us. It's not a luxurious house, but it met our needs just fine. "We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Gwen’s place in August. The home was clean and comfortable, had plenty of space, the yard was great and we enjoyed the fire pit many days and evenings. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance to many downtown shops and restaurants. A bit longer of a walk led to the beach. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, and there was enough space for all 6 of us to sit together for a meal. We will definitely consider staying again when in the area!"

"The house was great. Large home with 4 bedrooms. We had two dogs who enjoyed the space and fenced in back yard. Very clean. Only thing we couldn’t get the jacuzzi tub to work called and was explained how to work but it still didn’t. Did text to let know still not working I did look forward to but other then that over all great place to stay. Walking distance to town and water. We would definitely stay again"

"The location is perfect for hiking, kayaking, biking and just being outdoors. The house itself is comfortable, roomy and accommodated 4 adults and one dog quite comfortably. The view from the patio is striking, overlooking the Betsie and lots of wildlife especially in the spring with many birds nesting including trumpeter swans. Really nice. It was our 4th time staying here and we hope to return in the fall. It is very nice indeed!"

"This is one of our favorite trips of the year. We’ve stayed at this property for three years in a row and will continue to come back. The house is big and spread out. The kids and teens have space to watch TV and play in the game room in the basement while the adults watch the game or play cards in the living room and dining room. I saw someone mentioned that the coffee maker was slow. That was true, but the owners have purchased a new one that is top notch. The location is great as the ski hill...
