"Baffled by the good reviews. This place runs on rules upon rules upon regulations, and the photos are doing heroic work—instead of an idyllic hillside retreat, you get a tired, austere little fiefdom that makes a Holiday Inn look like the Ritz. Worst hotel of my two-week Italy trip (my partner agreed, enthusiastically). In fairness, the view is lovely and the area is peaceful—the hotel just works tirelessly to undo that from the inside. We arrived after 8 hours of travel to find the restaurant...

The hotel was spotless and the staff was very nice. The only thing I disliked was that the room was very very small. I know they have larger rooms there, but by the time we booked, all they had left was a smaller standard rooms. We would definitely stay there again, but next time book a larger room."

"We really loved our stay at this hotel. Its so close to everything, we easily went through the back entrance to walk into town center and the docks and the train station is barely a 5 minute walk away. We got an upgrade to our room upon checking in and the new remodeled rooms that are offered are absolutely gorgeous, very spacious and very well done. "The hotel was perfectly placed just a short stroll from the main pedestrian area, lovely pool on the roof and large, well maintained room with a balcony overlooking the lemon grove. We’ve been lucky enough to stay in a few places but, hands down, the customer service by the concierge and reception staff was the best ever received - friendly, polite, attentive, chatty and couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome and informed. A credit to the hotel, thanks for having us."

"Great location. Walkable to all sightseeing. Good breakfast. Enjoyed it so much we added 2 nights to our stay. The driving/parking is challenging in the area. A hotel clerk met us and parked the car for us. They retrieved the car when we needed it to travel outside of Sorrento. Made it much easier for my family. Restaurants and shops all within steps of the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel."
