The Cubana Resort Nambucca Heads

"Very cute property with ample parking and spacious modern rooms with a big shower, plenty of storage space for bags etc, and a comfy queen bed (we stayed in a Queen Terrace room). Staff were very helpful arranging a late check in. Facilities looked great but we were just passing through on a road trip so didn’t get to use any - will definitely like to stay longer another time."

Fernridge Farm Cottage

"Loved the rural aspect of the cottage. The surrounding bird life was spectacular. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and the surrounding gardens well manicured. The cottage has a large main bedroom, with ensuite, and an adjoining bedroom with 2x single beds. Located close to Bellingen but far enough out of town to escape the clutter of the busy little town. I would love to stay at the cottage again the next time I visit Bellingen. RK"

"Oliver was a wonderful host - fresh home-baked bread, butter and milk and a basket of goodies left for us, as well as a welcome sign! My 10 year old immediately felt welcome and excited to be there! The river view from the bedroom was magic in the morning. Bathroom was clean with a lovely shower.We came and went as we pleased and felt very safe. Lots of modern gadgets in the kitchen and a big TV. We enjoyed a few games of Snakes and Ladders before bed. Oliver offered plenty of local knowledge. Next time I’d like to go platypus sightseeing, was disappointed we didn’t have time this trip! Thanks for the hospitality!"

"Not the flashiest place in town but was perfect for a quick overnight with the dog, on our way to Sydney. Staff were really helpful and easy to check in etc. clean and comfortable!"
The Lodge Bellingen

"This is a pleasant place to stay, just 5 mins or so outside Bellingen. I particularly like the views towards the Dorrigo plateau from the small, covered verandah areas outside each room. The lower rooms have more uninterrupted views but the next level up I think has the KS beds. Beds are very soft which suits me but perhaps not everyone. The restaurant is not open every night, so a trip into town may be necessary. There are a couple of decent pubs and some other options."

"A charming, relaxing place to stay, with abundant tea/coffee and breakfast goodies. Janine is a great host, with lots of local knowledge to share. Relaxing in the gorgeous bath is a must as is a wine overlooking the wine. A fabulous mid year retreat. I will be back."
