A Quiet Stay
We had a quiet visit to Martinique. The property afforded the privacy and the view that we had wished for. Be forewarned that it is a little more challenging to access but Clara was helpful to meet us in Bellefontaine and guide us to the house. Thank you!

Magnifique Vue, Calme et Détente dans le Nord Caraïbes
La villa Moina est très jolie maison, spacieuse, agréablement agencée et bien équipée. La piscine est parfaitement entretenue et il y a des transats pour chaque personne. L'Octopus est une supérette à 10 mn de voiture: très pratique pour les achats de premiere nécessité. Les propriétaires ont mis a disposition des jeux de plages, des DVD et des jeux de sociétés ainsi que des livres en français et anglais!! Et aucune serviette de plage/piscine à emmener dans vos valises car elles sont fournies! À savoir: il ya 10 mn de montée sur une route sinueuse pour arriver à la villa. Pas un souci mais c'est un détail bon à savoir. En tout cas, les propriétaires et leur butler ont été très attentifs et très réactifs afin que nous passions un excellent séjour :) La villa Moina est une bonne adresse pour votre voyage en Martinique!

A beautiful villa in an outstanding location
Villa Moina is an amazing place, beautifully decorated in a modern style. It is high in the hills north of Fort de France with a wonderful view of the ocean and mountains, and about 15 minutes from a very nice beach. Charles-Henry Ericher was a terrific correspondent who took care of the booking and made sure we were happy during our stay. What we loved about this place was its quiet location in the northern part of Martinique. If you want to be amongst tourists, do not come here, for this is where islanders actually live (and farm). The touristic part of the island is in the south which is unquestionably beautiful, but not any more than the north. Indeed, there is much to do there, including visiting Mt. Pele, exploring the tropical forest, going to beaches on both the Caribbean and Atlantic sides, wandering through interesting towns and villages, eating at fabulous beachside restaurants, and purchasing French cheeses, baguettes and wonderful wines at nearby supermarkets. What we loved the most was that during our entire two week stay we did not encounter any Americans who presumably stay in the southern part if they come. It is useful to speak a little French, but the people are so friendly that even someone who knows none will be able to get by. And almost all the people involved in the visitor industry -- car rentals, restaurants, museums -- know English. You do need to be a bit adventurous to stay here, for the road up the mountain can be challenging for the first few trips. There are 9 switchbacks on the fairly narrow road which is pretty steep in places. We rented an automatic, as driving with a standard would have presented considerable difficulties. We got used to it quickly, though. We were also met at the airport when we arrived so that we would not get lost. If you like a quite house far from tourists and do not mind an interesting drive, this is without a doubt the place you should go to. I look forward to going back.

La villa était magnifique, très spacieuse offrant une vue panoramique sur la nature et la mer des Caraïbes. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour tout en détente dans cet endroit à couper le souffle.

L’état de propreté générale laissait à désirer : vaisselle salle, matelas et linge de lit tâchés et table de cuisine « collante ». Les ustensiles de cuisine sont de mauvaise qualité et peu nombreux. Les couverts ne sont pas en nombre suffisant. Nous étions 5 occupants et il n’y avait pas de chaises / fauteuils de jardin en nombre suffisant. Bref, un mauvais rapport qualité /prix. Nous ne reviendrons pas dans cette maison.

Magnifique endroit !
Nous avons adoré notre séjour à la villa! L’endroit est magnifique, encore mieux que sur les photos! Nous avions choisi cette villa comme logement dans le cadre de notre visite au nord, nous étions bien situé pour les activités. Je recommande fortement! Les propriétaires sont très gentils et répondent rapidement aux questions :) Merci beaucoup pour tout !

Bel endroit mais grosse déception
Nous avons apprécié l’endroit mais nous demeurons avec une grosse déception. Nous avions choisis cet endroit puisque l’annonce mentionnait que la maison était climatisée. Ce n’était que les chambres qui étaient climatisées et l’une d’entre elle ne l’a été que pour une nuit. La climatisation était brisée. Selon nous, le prix demandé n’était pas représentatif de notre séjour dû à cette panne qui semblait hors des compétences du réparateur sollicité à deux reprises selon ce que l’on nous a dit.

Très belle maison au calme
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil de Clara malgré notre heure tardive d'arrivée. Elle a été toujours très disponible et réactive tout au long du séjour. La piscine, l'environnement verdoyant et la vue sur la mer nous ont beaucoup séduits. La fraicheur des "hauts" nous a permis de bien dormir sans climatisation.
