"This was a lovely hotel. I really liked the styling of the hotel, and the room we had was a good size and spotlessly clean. Excellent facilities in the room as well, with a choice of shower, a safe and a fridge. We ate both nights in the restaurant. The carvery was superb (don't even think about that chain if you live in Exeter - this puts it in the shade). Quality meat, properly cooked spuds and tasty veg. Plus a full other menu to choose from that was delicious (proper burgers and the garlic mushroom cup starter was great). A proper breakfast, and all round top notch service finished off the stay nicely. And all at great value prices. "

"The staff on reception/bar & food ordering could not have been more helpful. They logged my car in and took the payment to save me doing it. And especially appreciated after a long drive: I was able to choose a couple of things from the menu and a much earned drink and take to my room. And my room was extremely nice - bed and bedding very comfortable, the right size, bathroom (and shower!) very good and I was able to work at the mini desk the following morning. A huge tick from me."
