"We had a fabulous stay at Peaks of Otter Lodge. It’s a great place, but what made it better was the front desk person, Emma. We stayed there during a 7 day Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway bike ride. She actually called me while I was in the middle of a 12 mile uphill to see if we’d need anything when we arrived. When we met at the desk she was welcoming and gave us local knowledge about roads, trails, etc. and was a delight to talk to. She was able to help us with specific requests which made our travels so much easier. Restaurant and bar service and food really good."

"I could not ask for anything more. I hesitate to leave a good review because I don’t want to have it sold out next time I’m in town, or the prices raised. But I have to be honest, it is the best out of several in town that I have tried. It’s always very clean, and perfect in every way I need when visiting my student. The breakfast is exactly what I like and the tv doesn’t require me to find one of the college kids to come figure out for me. There is actual water pressure and the thermostat really works like it should. The price is always competitive with the other hotels but the value is much better. If I have to have a criticism I’d say the walls are a little thin so you hear everything in the hallway and the neighbors bathroom but everything else makes up for it. This has been my go to the last 3 times in town."

"This was the first VRBO we stayed at that exceed the pictures, and the right up. This place was perfect. It is clean, well maintained, and absolutely perfect. My brother is a chef, and he was exceptionally complimentary of how the kitchen was stocked. Every tool, cooking utensil you could want was there. The Pool was terrific. while the bedrooms (9) of them and bathrooms (7) were well furnished and spotless. Mike the host was terrific, and worked hard to ensure we were comfortable and had everything. I highly recommend this location. You will not be disappointed."
