"Amazing staff, great location and parking The food is average and the menu is very limited, the room (19) has been updated recently but was right by the the main road and a noisy extract fan on the floor below which came on at 4.15am every morning. Overall it’s a nice big hotel that has been in the process of renovation for the last few years. It would be a much better experience if they could expand the menu and quality of the food."

"Breakfast was lush, a few bits had went unnoticed in the cleaning, Also I'm not happy I booked a double room and it was two single beds pushed together, As we were getting jiggy they came apart, not the worst place ever but not the best x"

"I’ve stayed at the Manor House many times on business and enjoyed it immensely. The owners are so warm and can’t do enough for you. The free parking is a boon and the breakfasts are excellent. It’s just a few paces to the centre of Cockermouth. I recommend the Jennings bar in the newly opened brewery. It’s a Mecca for real ale aficionados and the terrace overlooking the river is fab"

"We have stayed here three times now & love the friendly homely atmosphere. The apartment is perfect for me & my son and he loves the swimming pool! The gym has plenty of equipment & my treadmill faces a field of cows & the odd pig which was lovely! Will definitely be staying again"
