"What an amazing location with the nicest genuine staff we’ve encountered. The Hotel Abbey has an amazing history and is like being transported back in time . Sympathetic renovations have kept the olde world charm of this amazing building with its beautiful views over the Loire river and bridge. We arrived late after a long drive from lake Annecy but we were given an amazing meal cooked on a wood burner and hand made deserts that that make in house that would shame some five stars . Do yourselves a favour and visit this amazing establishment and chat to the owner , he’s a lovely gentleman . "

We had a safe place for our bikes, the room was beautiful with a lovely view of the village below, and the breakfast was a real treat! Everything felt very close in the village, and we ended up eating at a restaurant opposite, perfect to roll into bed afterwards. "

"An oasis of calm. Lovely property. Very nice rooms. Incredible breakfast offering home made yoghurt and homemade jams as part of a delicious array of other items. The manageress and the guy running the restaurant were super friendly, very professional and extremely accommodating. They even let us use their private office to store our golf clubs to save us having to carry them upstairs to our rooms. We will return there every year. Highly recommended. "
