They had nice stay options, i had a room made for 3 men and it fit us perfectly. The convient downstairs wash room, accommodated many persons at once. My only complaint was there was parking designated for Suv's and it was taken by cars everynight, guess should either be given a spot or guess with size requirements be given a spot, my Suv had terrible parking every night of our stay because all the spot big enuff for me where taken, luckily i had small passengers of age to drive and park the suv in the tighter smaller spots or a spot was just made for us by the wonderful accomodating staff.

There is one problem at this hotel in that the underground parking is very tight. There are several "double decker" spaces with lifts. These are not big high enough for modern cars. There are a few designated SUV only spaces. At busy times there are no free spaces. This is a pity as the hotel is otherwise perfect.

I thought it would be like a Hampton Inn but H4 is much better. Very comfortable. A little street noise but with windows closed, absolutely silent. Got great sleep. Underground parking- fee. A little narrow (as everywhere in Germany) but we had no problems with our somewhat large station wagon. Some spaces have mechanical racks to park 2 cars-- operated by the hotel, not customer! Overflow parking 3 minute walk away. Small supermarket across the street. Other shopping and restaurants in walking distance. Safe area. Interesting cemetery across street. The bar is open late--not sure whether they have food. Most people at Wagner Festspiele eat at the opera. Breakfast is extremely good buffet, and convenient-- 07:00 to 11:00. Festspielhaus is 2.4 km (35min by foot) but we signed up for shuttle (free), leaves H4 15:00 arrives 15:10. Returns 20 min post performance. Very convenient. Most hotel guests are German but English is spoken by hotel personnel, who are very friendly and helpful. Ein ausgezeichneter Aufenthalt! Highly recommended if you are in Bayreuth.
