Above all, staff did not insist on speaking English to me and put up with my poor French. A rarity in France in my exprrience! Definitely the best hotel in Epernay, we having tried at least 4 others. "The owner/managers of this hotel are very welcoming and gave everyone we saw a friendly welcome, assisting with dining reservations, advice on the local area and being very friendly whilst maintaining a discrete presence. They were very accommodating with my request to use a small portion of their fridge and freezer to keep my ice packs and butter cool. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. I definitely want to come back. "
