Mechelsdorf is a small, quiet village near the Baltic Sea coast in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Nestled between the well-known seaside resorts of Kühlungsborn and Rerik, the town is just a few kilometres from the beach - ideal for holidaymakers looking for relaxation away from the hustle and bustle. The surrounding area is characterised by fields, small forests and the fresh Baltic Sea air - perfect for hiking, cycling and taking a deep breath.

The Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route passes directly through Mechelsdorf and provides ideal conditions for coastal tours. Nature lovers can explore the nearby Riedensee nature reserve or let their gaze wander over the landscape and the sea from the Bastorf lighthouse.
