"Lovely cottage in a stunning quiet location, saw the red squirrel. Ideal base for exploring the lakes."

"Lobstone Cottage is in a wonderful location - a paradise for all walkers! We hardly used our car all week. The cottage is comfortable and homely - all we needed. While the front is directly on the narrowest bit of the road going through Rosthwaite, that didn’t bother us. There is no traffic at night - from 8pm it was very quiet, and the first signs of life in Borrowdale were when farm vehicles started to come through around 7am. Would we go back again - yes, indeed! Review independently...

"This is the 4th time we've stayed at Stable cottage. Despite the British weather we have had a lovely week again. Lots of walks from the door. The cottage is cosy and welcoming. We will definitely be going again"

"Really loved out stay at Little Mell Fell. Great instructions to find it. Set up really well for either a couple or a family of 4. Love that it's pet friendly. Was really clean and felt relatively recently done. The location was great to get around Ullswater and out to the surrounding lakes. "

"Amazing quaint little cottage with Fantastic views of hills and lake the red squirrels were an added bonus, couldn’t of wished for a better location and wished we had longer there will definitely think of going back sometime"

"Loved this cottage with the stream at the bottom of the garden and the wonderful views.Cottage was comfortable and warm. The hosts greeted us personally and were so approachable. It was equipped with everything we needed."

"We had an excellent weeks stay at Badgers Rake 12 and would definitely stay here again. Everything in the flat is just perfect and being on the second floor one gets the most amazing views over Ambleside to the fells beyond. Just one thing to be aware of, if walking from the main road into Ambleside, Badgers Rake is up a fairly short but very steep hill."

"What a perfect location. It's in the middle of nowhere which suited us perfectly. The caravan is situated right next to a small stream, which was so peaceful to sit and listen to. It had everything we needed. No hoover though. If we had of known we would of taken our own because of the dogs. A couple of lights didn't work but it wasn't an issue. We really didn't want to come home. Great destination for some beautiful walks."

"Both families really enjoyed the stay at the barn owl. It was a great place to relax and chill out as a group. The barn was clean and had everything we required for the stay, Kelly was very accommodating and provided some local knowledge and guidance for the stay. We would stay again thanks"

Beautiful characterful cottage, extremely informative library for local walks fully kitted with lovely clean comfortable beds, culinary equipment and crockery needs. "

"Lovely room. Keswick Suite has seperate sitting area in tower with panoramic views to the western hills. Meals were very good and the service was excellent. Shout out to the staff in all areas of the hotel for their friendliness and attention."
