"The hotel is a bit out of town and very peaceful. Lovely view of the hills. Checkin was friendly and welcoming. Room was rather bland and slightly 1970s, but clean and well kept. Most importantly it was warm a comfortable and I got a good night’s sleep. The bar closed very early which was a shame as I’d arranged to meet a friend at 9pm but by then all was in darkness. The car park is huge but it also a popular spot for drinkers by the river. The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was noisy until pub closing, but this wasn't a problem as it is a room above a pub."
