Barway Bridge Looking southwards from the bank of Soham Lode.
Soham Lode at Barway Bridge Soham Lode joins the River Great Ouse one kilometre north of this viewpoint. The Lode is a watercourse which was dug by Dutch prisoners of war in the seventeenth century, to divert water away from Soham Mere.
'Tigger' at Barway The houseboat 'Tigger' moored on the eastern bank of Soham Lode, at Barway. Beyond this point, the Lode is deemed unnavigable except for very small craft.
Reflections at Barway The evening light catches the trees on the eastern bank of Soham Lode, just north of the village of Barway.
Soham Lode at Barway The Lode continues northward beyond Barway Bridge, before joining up with the River Great Ouse.
