"A great place to stay for access to the driftless area of Wisconsin. Stayed here and fished a lot of the local streams for trout. The place was very clean, and felt like home. Recommend trying the Hi Point steakhouse if you’re in the area. Great food and cocktails. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets ..."

We knew that Barneveld was devastated by a tornado in 1984 & we thought there’d be a museum. There was not, but was told that the library had many articles /stories about that terrible event.

We drove to Mt. Horeb and ate at the Grumpy Troll. Great area. Lot's of fun. My 6 year old grandson is still talking about the Cave of the Mounds. Great trip.
