It is close enough to Florence for easy day trips - a car is recommended for convenient access to the property, but there is ample free parking in a nearby town to head downtown by bus. "This is a beautifully arranged and hosted location. It is perhaps 2 kilometers from central Florence, with a steep uphill at the end, but we walked there and back every day except the first. It's really out in the country in an apartment that is part of a big house, with its own entrance. The salon is enormous. Our hosts helped with everything we needed, including a prompt taxi on our departure day."

"Nice place where you can spend a quiet vacation away from the crowd city life. However, if you want to visit the major cities in Tuscany such as Firenze, Pisa, Siena, Lucca, etc. they are just an hour away. Chiara is a great host and will make your stay as comfortable as possible. Great stay!"

"The best thing is the location, and the accommodations were good. Having read the reviews we knew what to expect and were not surprised. The downsides were mainly the six flights of stairs and the fact that the bathroom is shared. Antonio was accommodating and offered good advice about what to see and where to eat. A couple things that could be done easily to improve the stay for guests would be to provide some closet and/or drawer space and to have a clear place in the bathroom for a guest...

"If you're looking for an authentic Florence experience this Piazza della Signoria apartment could not be better located. We dropped our rental car off and walked the tight stone streets for about 15 minutes arriving in the Piazza where we met the housekeeper. She showed us upstairs and walked us through the house rules and details (including Florences' tendency to trip circuits when too many appliances are running) with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
