"A great place to spend the night before heading off on a cruise. The management have fine tuned everything to shuttles to the port at specific times, Offered free transportation to and from a great restaurant with good food and great prices. Power outlets next to each side of the bed to charge all one’s electronic devices and provided us with a decent breakfast included in the price before we left. Definitely worth a stay there if you’re in Civitavecchio which is not the most exciting place but has a magnificent beach front. Sadly the weather was not in our favour but that’s got nothing to do with our stay at Hotel Traiano"

"The room was very clean, but very small. We could not get the TV working. Our shower was very small, definitely not for a large person. Free breakfast offered, but no heat for the trays with the bacon or eggs so they were cold, and the toaster was not working. Nice pastries and coffee machine though. I would still recommend this place for a stopover to get onto a cruise ship and I would stay there again. Of note, we were told at the front desk that the shuttle to the cruise ship was 6 Euros, or a lot more money for a private shuttle. We found out by going for a short walk down the street that there was a free shuttle down the street at the Port entrance (a very short walk even with a lot of luggage), which we used without problems. Just surprised that the hotel didn’t tell us about the one that was free."

"We had a lovely big clean room with a cute balcony. The front desk staff were all amazing, as well as the staff in the restaurant. The property itself is located beautifully on the waterfront. Easy walk to the little town. The breakfast buffet could be a bit better for the money. Everything else was great."

"One building has no elevators. If you’re on the top floor you walk up three double flights of stairs. The property itself is atop a very steep hill to walk up from the street. The hotel is inaccessible except by walking up these steep hills so you have to call the hotel to have them arrange to follow someone in a small cart to a distant parking lot to bring your bags in at check in, leave your car there and drive back with him up the hills. That being said, if you are fit the view from the adjoining building which does have an elevator is beyond compare. Gorgeous. The room itself was spacious and had everything you might need. Breakfast was hosted by a kind woman. If you are not so fit it’s difficult to leave or arrive at this property. Hope this is helpful."

"Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was ok. Only negative, was the bed. Too soft and too small also safe did not work although staff tried to get it working. Valentina was very helpful and pleasant for everything."
