"This was our first trip bringing a dog to visit our MTU student. This was a nice affordable place. It is right next to the roadside park by the airport so plenty of room to walk the dog. The apartment had everything you need- a comfy bed,TV, well equipped kitchen. Host was responsive to messages. Apartment was 10 minutes to MTU and 10 minutes to Calumet- perfect location.we had fun playing the games and cards that were in the apartment "

"My daughter and I stayed here for four nights and loved it! It’s a beautiful place and it’s laid out perfectly. The giant windows overlooking the lift bridge and canal provided a fantastic view. It was spotless and everything worked exactly as described. Communication with Lexie was always quick and easy. She was super accommodating and helpful! I hope to come back soon!"

"We were in awe once we opened the door to this place. Great for just the two of us. It had everything we needed and was very clean. We really liked the box lights for added light effects and the bed was very comfortable too. Nice shower and layout. Easy access to downtown. Parking was never a problem for us. "

"The outside of the building doesn’t represent how the place is on the inside. It’s a nice clean and well taken care of apartment that was comfy to stay in. Relatively quiet just noisy cars driving by at night. Very nice place to stay and a not very far from Houghton so it’s definitely a place I’d revisit."

"We really enjoyed the space and found it to be clean, well stocked, and spacious. There is a community park that is walkable from the location which was great for our dog. It is on a main street so you do hear traffic. I will note that the AC didn't seem to be working properly but there was a floor unit and fans available. I don't think that should take away from the rating of the property though, they were obviously accommodating the best they could. I would stay definitely stay again. "

"This location was enjoyable. The renovation of a former school into condos made our stay unique and fun. The place was spacious and clean, and very comfortable with the bonus of a washer and dryer. That made it even better! Cool town, good food from The Forge, Four Suns Fish and Chips, and Copper Range Depot. Would definitely recommend!"

"We stayed here while in town for our daughter’s wedding. The reception was right across the street at the Fire Hall. Obviously the location couldn’t have been any better! We had our 7 mo old grandson also and when he was fussy we had plenty of space to push him around in his stroller. Vern was a great host, very quick to respond to questions!"

"My husband and I loved the suite/apartment! It is a beautifully renovated space in downtown Houghton - a clean, fresh and inviting area to stay! The huge windows offer a wonderful view of town, the Portage and the lift bridge. We had an easy walk to all our destinations, and check-in and check-out were a breeze. Thank you! "

"The property is very clean and well stocked with anything needed. The location was convenient for visiting my daughter at MTU and for accessing the beauty of Copper country. It was a short drive to Canyon Falls, MTU, and Hancock. We truly enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion would be to add a curtain to the back door, and that is so minor. I most definitely recommend this property to folks visiting the area."

We were there for 4 nights and i was living out of my suitcase which was very annoying. "The property was roomy and worked for our family. I had not been to the area before and did not realize it is on the main road so it is a little noisy, and there is no water access in front of the property- I thought there was. But there is a nice view. I think it is a nicely renovated building with about 6 part time and full time apartments. The porch was nice.
