"Location to Grandfather Mountain was great. A/C was great. Kitchen does not have some basic utensils and is not fully supplied (as advertised) - fortunately there is a Food Lion nearby where we bought what should have been supplied. Sofa and chairs did not feel clean and we put a sheet over the sofa. Beds and bed linens were good and clean. But, great place to have a family get-together to attend the nearby Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain."

"This is an older hotel and, as such, so were the amenities. That being said, our room was wonderful! Everything worked without any problems. Good water pressure, hot water, and everything we needed for our brief stay. Despite the older hotel, it was very clean and well kept. Amazing place to stay when passing through or as a base camp for hiking the nearby trails"

"Great size place for our quick mountain getaway. John was quick to message back and helpful. The only thing I wish we had known (maybe we missed it in the listing / reviews) was that the bedroom does not have AC, only heat. While the fan in the room was very helpful, AC would have been much more comfortable. The place is quite convenient to all the places we were visiting."

"This was my second stay, and it was just as comfortable and relaxing as before. The host was very responsive and kind, providing all the information needed to keep my stay carefree. Besides resting and appreciating the surrounding views, I also enjoyed hiking in Grandfather Mountain State Park, which is about a 20-minute drive away. I'm happy to say that the area has become a special place for retreat and reflection."
