"We absolutely loved it here! The perfect getaway in the mountains. It is so peaceful and relaxing. The beds where comfortable. The beds are comfortable. The space is clean and perfect for our family of four. The kitchen is well furnished. The fire pit and the deer coming right up to us was our favorite part. Absolutely lovely place to stay."

"The waterfalls at the back of the property were the highlight- beautiful sight and sound. The kids loved wading around and looking at the critters that lived there. This house is super convenient to restaurants, attractions, grocery stores etc. Our only issue was that while the property was clean as far as dirt and grime, there were many of those thin, long-legged spiders indoors - along with their webs under cabinets and in closets. Also, the first night when we went to close the upstairs curtains we initially found a congregation of stink bugs. Upon further searching, we found 75ish stink bugs in the curtain folds and behind the curtain. We got them all out and didn't have an issue after that. It may have been a byproduct of the time of the year and the water behind the property. Not a big deal once handled. We'd stay again - our dogs enjoyed it too!"

"The log cabin is just adorable. Its setting on the top of the hill overlooking beautiful rolling fields. Plenty of wildlife roaming around. The home is clean and very comfortable. The beds were firm and extremely comfortable. We slept like babies after our long days out and about. Mary Frances is very responsive and is willing to work with your needs. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your cabin."

"We enjoyed our time in the quaint cabin. The location is ideally located in Banner Elk and convenient to Grandfather Mtn, Blowing Rock and Boone. The cabin is comfortably furnished with everything guests would need. In this cabins case rustic included slanted floors, a front porch in need of some small repairs, and towels which have seen their day and then some. Overall, we would describe the cabin as ‘perfectly imperfect’."
