This was the third time we’d stayed in one of Andrew’s Bearadise properties, and it was fantastic as always. Central location, very clean, well-equipped, and great communication. Highly recommend!
This property was amazing! Excellent condition & furnished very attractively. Close to downtown Banner Elk, although because it’s on a high point not really walkable. GPS didn’t get us to the property but was able to contact host & host met us at entrance to make sure we were able to find it. Will definitely stay here again.
When getting to Banner Elk the house was easy to find. Access was easy! The rooms were clean and the owner was gracious with our questions. Appreciate his follow-up and sincerity with information.
We enjoyed the convenient location and rustic decor of the cabin; the handcrafted tables are beautiful. The parking space was especially welcome, with a lot of room to park and to safely turn around in. Everything inside was well appointed and well kept. The deck with its swing was a nice place to relax in the evening. The only detraction was the traffic noise.
Property was the coziest little cabin within a condo. Even came with a Christmas tree & stockings! We loved the comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen. So convenient to Banner Elk, can see the twinkling city lights. Close to Sugar, Beech & Grandfather mountains. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced in porch and flat ground to use. Definitely will be back especially for the beautiful snow and mountain views. Plenty of parking too.
My daughter and I enjoy antiquing and hiking on our annual NC mountain trip. I found this place on vrbo and thought I'd give it a try. The "5 min walk to downtown Banner Elk" is what attracted me. However, I couldn't imagine ever walking down the winding mountain road the property was on, it was not a safe walk with the blinding curves. We drove! Overall it was a beautiful property and Bearadise 1 was perfect size for 2.
Clean property but very loud from all the stomping upstairs; noise insulation was nonexistent. Shower was scalding hot and could not be adjusted; the twisty thing didn't do a thing. No coffee filters provided; we had to buy. Firewood had not been covered from rain; got soggy and could not be used; so no fire for us. None of the TV channels were working; WiFi connection sucked. Mattress was like a hammock; my lower back still hurts. Left a day early; didn't want to stay another night.
Beautiful place and location. Pictures do not do it justice. Conveniently located to restaurants, grocery stores, and skiing/ice skating. We will definitely be back.
We love staying in Andrew’s Bearadise properties. We stayed in Bearadise 2 last year and loved it, so we knew Bearadise 1 would be just as good, if not better—and we were right. The location cannot be beat. It’s very well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need—particularly in the kitchen and laundry. We also loved the porch swing, which I think was a new addition since our previous visit. Last but not least, communication with the host is always top-notch. We will continue to stay at Bearadise on future trips to Banner Elk!
