It suited our needs well. We didn’t spend much time at the house as Sugar Mountain Ski Resort was our main attraction. The resort was bout 18 min from the cabin.

Great property. Nice, cozy cabin down a great private street. This is the 2nd time booking this property. I go with my brother and a neighbor friend and grown kids for skiing every winter. Everyone loved the house so much last year, i booked it again this year. Lots of room for everyone. Great location between ski beech and sugar mountain. Host responds right away. I will be booking this place again.

Check in was easy. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The driveway was hard to maneuver in and out with a large vehicle but the drive is very quiet. I would stay again

This really is a great property. Very quiet area and nice views. Kids loved the hot tub. We weren't too far from Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Boone so we were able to visit all those favorites. Highly recommend!

The property is fantastic with a huge hot tub, wrap around porch, spacious bedroom and great room. Clean and tidy though a little dusty but unless youre ocd not an issue. We were missing a lighter for the fire pit and grill but we may not have located it. Really enjoyed the location and would stay here again!

The cabin was super clean, and decorated beautifully! The fireplace was amazing, and the beds were so comfortable! There were cozy blankets and the kitchen was fully stocked. The hosts were accommodating and easy to reach. We did not have use of the hot tub for one night, wich was disappointing, but things happen and the next night it was perfect! Would definitely stay here again!

This cabin was a great fit for ski weekend. The road was a tough and some had to park at the bottom and hike up but we made it work. Know that if there is snow or ice you'll need four wheel drive or chains. The hot tub was nice after a long day. We had everything we needed!

10/10

The cabin was wonderful. The size was perfect and was furnished very comfortably with more than enough room for our family of 4. The furniture and deco fit so well with the landscape. We didn't get a chance to use the outdoor fire pit but took advantage of a rainy morning to try the indoor gas fire place which worked perfectly. The hot tub was great as well. The cabin felt pretty secluded despite the area is a lightly developed mountain neighborhood. The location was remote but yet was a short drive to Banner Elk, Newland and Linville. We had a great trip and only wish we stayed longer than 3 nights.

Overall our stay at Boulder Ridge was lovely. The cabin is nicely decorated and well stocked with what you need for a nice relaxing weekend in the mountains. We really enjoyed the hot tub, great view, fire pit, comfortable king sized beds, bunk for kids, large TVs, AC and WiFi. The homeowner was very helpful in getting us the information we needed for check in and check out, as well as tips about local restaurants and necessities. The home was generally very clean and well maintained, though we noticed a few small things that the cleaners missed. Nevertheless we had a great time and hope to return!

My wife and I, along with a couple of friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Boulder Ridge. This house is so nice and has everything you want in a cabin. It's secluded, quiet, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. A close drive to Banner Elk, Linville, Sugar Mountain, and Grandfather mountain. The hot tub was heated and running the moment we got there which was real nice. We used the oven, stove, grill, hottub, and fire pit. Nothing short of worth it. We hope to be back again next year.

I took my girlfriend to this remote location for her birthday, not really knowing what to expect. What we found was one of the most relaxing weekends we have had in a long while. I'm not typically one to swoon over a house, but I have to say that the interior of the cabin is not only immaculate, it is spacious, gorgeously decorated and very welcoming. With one master bedroom downstairs (with a private bath), and two upstairs bedrooms (sharing a bath), this place can readily accommodate three couples, or a large family. The beds are more comfortable than any I have ever slept in. There are bunk beds in addition to the bedrooms, and a large, comfy couch downstairs. The kitchen is modern and has everything you need (bring your own food, however). With a fire pit and a hot tub outside, it's the perfect getaway location. We will definitely return in the future.

My parents, wife, and almost 3 year old spent a week in the BE area, and loved our time in the cabin. The living space was more than enough, bed rooms very comfortable, and kitchen was well equipped. The hot-tub was perfect for a soak after a long hike, and the setting made for a secluded feel. The drive back to the cabin feels shorter as the week progresses, and the overall location, relative to downtown BE, is just perfect. We did lose power on the last day (big-time mountain storm came through), but the power was back on in a matter of an hour or two. We were kept up on information, regarding the power, as it developed. My only negative (and it has nothing to do with the cabin or owner) would be on the 4th/5th of July, some unruly neighbors (likely a short distance down the hill) decided to launch mortar style fireworks into the wee hours of July the 5th. Mountain walls make a bottle rocket sound like a missile, so you can imagine what the mortar sounded like. Overall, I would definitely recommend this property to anyone that asks and would certainly request another booking if the need arises!
