"AVOID! HAZARDOUS TO HEALTH! If I could give this property 0 stars, then I would! Where to start… the staff member at the front desk was very unhelpful and rude. As soon as we arrived (2 hours early), after a long journey, tried to charge us almost double what we initially paid for an early check in. "This property is a scam. We booked and paid for 3 rooms thru Expedia. When we arrived they only have one room for our reservation. They want to push us to stay at their other property. Their other property is dirty and small. We flew thousands of miles to experience a homestay in the beautiful Sapa rice fields. Being weekend all the nice home stays were all booked. "The property is around 20-25 drive from the centre of sapa with minimal amenities close by. If you are staying as a group or couple and buy supplies before returning then i would reccomend this place. If however you want to enjoy evenings in sapa each day then you would clock up quite a high bill in taxis. The property was clean and in a beautiful location. For the price though it is very good."

"Chapa Farmstay is a unique experience. It's about 20 minutes from Sapa town proper which is great. Very quiet and pristine. The little cabins are comfortable, with incredible views and the bathrooms are modern. But the best part of our stay was the host family. We had such a great time chatting with the grandparents during meals, sitting around the fire on cold early mornings and playing with the children. They arranged for our one day trek with a fun lunch in village along the way - ending with a traditional Red Hmong herbal hot tub experience. Our last evening they invited us to join their family dinner and drink rice wine. They also linked us with a local taxi driver who ferried us in and out of town as needed. Staying with the family at Chapa Farmstay was the highlight of our 3 week vietnam trip!! We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have added 2 more. "
