"Overall, a very well managed hotel. The inn keeper was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Location is great along the main road. Parking behind the hotel was very convenient and there were plenty of spots when we traveled. Bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean. In the bathroom, the sink was about the size as you would expect on a boat, very skinny and difficult to keep water from splashing everywhere. The shower was very nice, but similar to other places in Scotland there are no shelves to put toiletries on in the shower. The breakfast buffet was very tasty, ample, and fresh. We did not find a better place for breakfast in Oban. Note that if your room is on the street side, the street noise can be a bit much. "

"The big bonus for this hotel is the staff, they are very friendly and helpful, plus the room we had was quiet, had a great shower and all the facilities we needed for an overnight stay. It has lovely views from its terrace and we had drinks on it watching the sunset. We also enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at it as well."

"The Whisky Vaults is a good choice for accommodations in Oban. It is convenient to restaurants, trains and ferries. Rooms are cozy and beds are comfortable. The building is historic and interesting. The staff is friendly and helpful. Totally charming overall. (Note no elevator but staff will help with luggage.)"
