My son won an award at his football presentation and the staff at the hotel upgraded us to a bigger room and gave him a free drink and a snack. The barman also gave me a free drink too. "Comfy, spacious rooms, cleanliness was excellent, lobby-restaurant-bar very nice decorated, very clean and convenient! Breakfast was fine and very well priced. We really enjoyed our stay. However, there is a little complaint which refers to smoking area, although this goes for almost every hotel, airport, public space in the UK. Smoking area should be a covered space with a few seats or a table as well. In this hotel there was a space outside the restaurant with a few tables that could be used by smokers although not covered. I think it's easy to find a way to serve smokers as well and treat them like human beings that we are."

"We stayed for 2 nights as it was close to Alton Towers. Hotel itself was quite dated and the bedside tables were ancient and well used but the hotel was really clean and the staff and service was fantastic, I would definitely stay here again x"
