Cromar Cottage is a newly renovated home located in the centre of Ballater, on Royal Deeside, and a short drive from Braemar, Balmoral Castle and much more. Perfect for couples or families, the cottage sleeps 4 guests across 2 bedrooms, with a cosy living room, self catering kitchen, dining room and two shower rooms. Spend sunny days relaxing in the private garden with BBQ area. Fantastic local coffee spots, independent shops, supermarkets & local restaurants are available on the doorstep.

Welcome to Cromar Cottage, our cosy and welcoming cottage set in the popular town of Ballater located in the centre of the Cairngorms National Park and on Royal Deeside.

On arrival, guests are welcomed into the cottage through our green front door. Entering the cottage, you will find our Living Room, a cosy space perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Royal Deeside, with comfortable sofas and a logburning fire. We have a smart TV in the Living Room, with services such as Netflix and Disney+ available for watching TV or films.

Our Kitchen is located to the rear of the property, accessed through the Dining Room, which has a generous table and seating space for 6 people. The Kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering stays, and features a double range oven and hob, a Ninja airfryer, and a large fridge-freezer.

Upstairs, there are two welcoming bedroom, both designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. The master bedroom features a super-kingsize bed, which can be split into two single beds should you require an alternative setup. Bedroom Two has a comfortable double bed. Both bedrooms have dressing tables and plenty of storage space for unpacking and hanging items during your stay.

The family bathroom is accessed from the upstairs landing, and features an electric shower, bath, toilet and sink. Downstairs, guests can find an additional shower room with electric shower, toilet and sink.

Bath towels, soft linens and luxurious toiletries from Fine Scottish Soaps are provided for all guests.

To the rear of the property, there is a sunny, fully enclosed garden with patio area and lawn, with beautiful wildflowers throughout the garden to encourage garden birds, butterflies and bees. Our outdoor dining area is a favourite spot for guests to spend sunny afternoons, with a BBQ available for use too.

The entire property is available for guest use, with a private rear garden. Free on-street parking is available for guests right outside the Cottage.

Cromar Cottage is located in the popular town of Ballater in the heart of Aberdeenshire and is within the Cairngorms National Park. There are beautiful local walking and mountain biking routes accessible right from the Cottage, with the old Deeside Line cycle path running from Ballater, taking cyclists and walkers along a quiet track to Aboyne, Banchory and on to Aberdeen. We are a short drive from Braemar where you can visit the Kings residence, Balmoral Castle, during the summer months.
In the winter months, guests can travel to Aviemore, Carirngorm Mountain and The Lecht ski centre for skiing and snowboarding. Horse riding, independent shops, supermarkets and amenities are available close by in Ballater, including many local businesses, butchers and bakeries, which also supply the Royal family at Balmoral. Cromar Cottage is a short drive from Banchory, Aberdeen, Stonehaven and Braemar where guests can find fantastic shops, eateries and things to do with the whole family.
