"Clean room, staff were helpful & friendly. Breakfast was delicious, although the menu wasn't offered everyday, which had alternative choices on it. We had an evening meal there, which was amazing. Drinks a bit expensive though. Rooms are spacious & clean."

"Having parking was a huge benefit, the high street does get busy so knowing it wasn't going to be an issue is great. The breakfast was lovely, nice amount of choice and the full cooked breakfast was huge! We didn't get a chance to have a coffee in the cafe but the homemade cakes and biscuits looked delicious. Check in and check out was smooth and quick. We were in room 86 and the windowsill needs a bit of maintenance and the room could do with a freshen up but the room was clean and the bed...

"The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful. Dining in all three restaurants was superb. We would definitely go back. The Falconry experience was amazing. Just be aware it is not run by the hotel but it is on or adjacent to the grounds. A two minute walk from the lobby."

"The grounds are beautiful and historic and when we drove up I had high expectations for the interior. I would not consider it anywhere near a 4 star hotel. The room was in a poor state, and paint was chipping from every surface, and the carpet was split down the center of the room creating a crater, in addition to being frayed and shredded. "Great little oasis by the airport. Chose this based on closeness to the airport for leaving the next day, only 5-10 min. Great location, quiet, and the grounds around were very nice. Easy parking on-site. Rooms were very nice and clean. Only issue is there is no lift and had to use stairs. Restaurant was very nice and breakfast was good. If you like wine, they have a great selection. Nice place, would highly recommend."

"Great breakfast, spacious room, not much of a view but that was OK, well located in the middle of Edinburgh University, so its very close to lots of things to do, a quick walk to bus pickups, and tram nearby for access to the airport. A great find!"
