We LOVED sands of time and mainly due to the “mama” of the hotel, Aytan. She made home cooked breakfasts, and was incredibly hospitable and helpful at any time with basically everything. We came there as a family with a small child and had a great time. The photos on site do not do this place justice. It is a historic hidden villa with a small courtyard and you are located dead center of the Old Town Baku. I suggest getting a car through them from the airport- yes… it will be more expensive than using an app etc BUT they guarantee pick up and drop you and your luggage off right at the door. Just fyi the old city is off limits for most cars so if you take other transport, you may have to drag your luggage couple miles of winding streets uphill on cobblestone… so worth paying a bit extra. We got lucky and ended up in a room with a washer- lifesaver for traveling with a child. But all rooms are different, ask which you’ll get before coming. Their reception was great and very responsive via WhatsApp. Food- Aytan made a great variety of food in the morning (highly recommend adding breakfasts to your stay). The hotel is inside the old city and all the restaurants around are Not cheap. Also most open up pretty late for a western tourist. So get breakfast in the hotel, save yourself some headache. Menu was varied- she cooked different egg and omelette dishes, lots of variety for small sandwiches, yogurts, homemade pancakes, oatmeal etc. They get A+ from my little family

Idéal room based in old town. Only thing I would say is to add to hotel website that cars can’t access it so you have to get dropped off on the outskirts of old town.

Perfect location

The hotel is in the heart of the old city. Quick walk to all the historic sites and to a subway station for access all across town. The rooms are in good condition and clean the front desk is very helpful. A great place that won't break the bank!

OLD City

24 hour service was not always very helpful. Unable or unwilling to change their currency to smaller denominations. Breakfast was minimal and repetitive. Room was very small, some electrical items such a as hair dryer and air conditioner worked only sporadically. Airport transfer listed at 30 manat was charged 35. Hotel location was excellent with short walk to restaurants and meeting point for tours. Hills and cobblestone streets can be challenging, signage for locating the hotel is minimal .

Thank you for a great stay in Baku. I loved the location of this hotel as it was right in the center of Old Town. It was down a small side street so was always quiet but only a 2-3 minute walk to all of the restaurants and shops in the area. Check in was quick, easy and friendly. My room was a decent size and so clean. Breakfast was small and only from 9-11 daily but was tasty. I appreciated the breakfast as it fueled me for a good portion of the day. My only complaint is the upkeep in the bathroom. The shower head holder was broken so I had to hold the shower head while I showered. Also the hose was broken so water would spray everywhere anytime the water was turned on. Other than these things two negatives, the bathroom was clean and a decent size.

Booked early Januari, at arrival end of April they tell me the hotel was overbooked. Funny because I didn’t receive any message up front. Probally found someone who paid more ( because of F1 Grand Prix) for the room Personel walked me through te city to search another hotel to stay, letting me carry my luggage (without any help) After a few attemps at different hotels it was solved. Not acceptable !!

立地はとても良いです。ただし、2泊の間に2回の停電と断水があった。1回目は復旧したが2日目は一部しか復旧しなかった。特にそのことについても説明はなかった。また、部屋の鍵もかかりにくく開けにくい。

Hotelli ei ollut Sands of Time, vaan joku nimetön huoneisto asumus. Oli tilattu kuljetus hotellista, en tiedä miten olisi löydetty tavallisella taksilla. Henkilökuntaa näki todella harvoin, jäimme ilman aamiaista viimeisenä aamuna. Lattiat oli todella siivottomat. Hieno hyvin varusteltu keittiö ilman astioita, meitä oli 4, laseja 3 kahvi- kuppeja 3, 1 rikkinäinen, lautasia muutaman ja paistinpannu siinä kaikki. Oven lukko temppuili hermostumiseen asti, huoltomies poisti koko lukon. Aamiainen oli sama joka aamu paljon munaa ja vähän vihanneksia ja hedelmiä

Konum iyi ama dezavantajları var.

İyi Yanlar: Konum güzel. İçerişehir'de ve metroya yakın. Her gün oda temizliği yapıldı.

Very modern and clean room. In a good location in the old part of the city. The only recommendation I would make is book a taxi to take you there as it feels like it is in the middle of a maze the first time you go there. A massive square with endless restaurants just 10 minutes walk away.
