Upstage Stay is located on the second floor (stairs only) of the historic Paxton Theatre. Your rental includes a beautiful suite and private bathroom with walk-in shower. While there are no other overnight guests on the property, you may occasionally run into theatre guests in the lobby downstairs.
Whether your stay is for work or play, you'll find everything you need to hunker in and hibernate, focus and get things done, or recharge.
The room is outfitted with a collection of art pieces made by local artists (all available for purchase), dedicated A/C and heater, comfy queen bed with modern linens, mini fridge, Keurig, couch, flat screen TV with access to streaming services, high speed internet, a full size desk and ergonomic office chair, an eclectically curated bookshelf, and plenty of hanging and folding storage so you can unpack and make yourself at home.
To prevent you from getting hangry during your stay, the room is stocked with K-cups, and a few snacks and drinks, and office supplies are available for your use should you aim to be productive.
Plenty of fluffy towels and washcloths are provided, and the private bathroom includes a bar of local Ross Roost Farm soap so you can feel joyful as you cleanse, as well as many toiletries, first aid, and basic health items for convenience.
During scheduled shows and rehearsals the theater is open to the public, but access to the 2nd floor is prohibited. Just be aware you may cross paths with a theatre patron or local artist in the lobby. All shows end by 9p, so you can expect activity at the theater to wind down around then during a weekend there is a show. The Thursday before the 2nd Saturday (every month except July) is karaoke night! Karaoke ends at 10p. The theatre typically obtains a beer license for Karaoke and the 50/50 show which means beer and hard seltzer will be available for purchase in the lobby during those events.
We are local and available if concerns arise during your stay.
The theatre has a public parking lot on site. Plenty of street parking is also available nearby.
