"Mire like a 3star than 4; old and tired but parking was convenient. You need a river view balcony otherwise very depressing view of the town."

"This is the nicest European hotel we have ever stayed in. The building is fabulous, really nicely converted with lots of thoughtful design choices. The rooms are lovely, beds super comfy, nice big fluffy towels. Great indoor spa facilities (we had a brilliant couples massage) and the outdoor pool is the perfect place to swim and relax with a cocktail. There are loads of nice places to sit and relax inside and outside. Staying here feels as comfortable as being at home. The breakfast is delicious, lots of choice and everything high quality. Room service food was great, the food in the restaurant really delicious. All of that aside though, what really makes this hotel special is the staff. We had brilliant service from the second we checked in to the moment we checked out. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and the service felt personal and attentive. We had hired an electric car, charging it was no trouble and in fact the receptionist offered to take our keys, charged the car overnight and parked the car back in the car park. We were lucky enough to be able to have a late check-out too - again this was no trouble and the team were happy to accommodate us. Don’t miss the club room - a lovely space to relax with a book (there are plenty), watch tv and enjoy a complimentary cup of tea and slice of cake. I’m hoping MS Collection expands their luxury hotels elsewhere so we can explore more places while staying in luxury!"

"We’ve just returned from a wonderful 7-night stay at D’autor Village, and we genuinely couldn’t have been happier. What a beautiful place! From the moment we arrived, everything felt luxurious, peaceful and exactly what a holiday should be. The villa was absolutely spotless, beautifully and tastefully decorated, and had everything we could possibly need. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we all slept so well! The pool area felt like a spa, very relaxing, yet the children were still able to enjoy themselves, this was a big hit! Kátia and the whole team were exceptional hosts — so warm and welcoming, and always checking in to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed, without ever being intrusive. And then there was the breakfast… simply perfect! It quickly became something we looked forward to every morning, especially enjoying it while taking in the incredible mountain views. We would wholeheartedly recommend D’autor Village to anyone looking for a special getaway, whether a couple wanting a romantic escape or a family looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful and welcoming. Thank you to Kátia and the team for making our stay so memorable."

"The property was nice with wonderful spa options. However, the rooms seemed a bit dated and certainly didn’t feel like a five star surroundings. However, the staff and daily breakfast were wonderful!"

"We had an incredible visit at this magnificent property. Victor greeted us with such hospitality and we felt very welcomed in his beautiful home. The home was immaculately clean and it is nestled in such amazing surroundings. We traveled with our extended family with a group of 6 and there was plenty of room for all of us with private bathrooms as well as full views of the vineyards from each of the bedrooms. In fact, there is a total of 5 bedrooms so plenty of room for extended family. The pool was very relaxing and the outdoor spaces are fantastic with outdoor seating for meals and for enjoying wine by the pool. The beds were very comfortable and the home had a fully stocked kitchen. The location was remote but perfect to feel like you are immersed in the culture. Victor is great about providing things to do during the day and day trips. We took a day trip to Porto and one day trip to a winery, one day trip to a boat wine tour and we went hiking and exploring on our final day. If you are traveling with a group I would recommend a small car as the roads are narrow. We rented two small cars for a group of 6 and it was perfect. We have traveled extensively and this home is at the top of our list and we will definitely return to this beautiful location again! "
