We were informed that we should contact the property 24 hours before arriving. We tried on numerous occasions to no response. Eventually we got a reply from a person who did not speak any English.Then we got a response from the lady in charge 24 hours after the original time. By then we were in the house. The property was very clean. The beds uncomfortable ,the kitchen well equipped. The location was superb on the banks of the Douro. The biggest problem was the toilets were broken. The lady who met us was unable to communicate as she was just a key holder. It was a pity we were no treated as we should have been with the proper staff for the price paid.
