"The Manhattan Hotel was a very good place to stay. we had no problems with the hotel itself. The area around outside the front door had some vague uneasiness with questionable characters who were on the streets with no real reason to be there. "

"Hotel has a very convient location by the waterfront and in a quiet area. Very walkable from train station and the romer. Rooms are well appointed and clean. "

"We arrived at 6:30am and stopped by the front desk to see if we could check in early. The rooms were not ready but staff went above and beyond to get the rooms ready within two hours. After a long transatlantic flight we appreciated that we could get into the room to take a nap and shower. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel was a bit dated but overall clean and well maintained. The area around the hotel is pretty sketchy. While conveniently located across from the main railroad station and about 25 minute walk from the old town, there is a lot of drug activity going on right around the hotel. We felt safe during the day but at night I would avoid the area."
