"We stayed 4 nights at Hotel Montestella as our base to visit different towns on the Amalfi Coast. Great location in Salerno. Easy to go to attractions, the port and the train station. Hotel room is big. It feels like having 2 connecting rooms. Bathroom is big and clean. The hairdryer is not the best. Everything else seems fine. Our room can be noisy as it's facing a busy street. It seems ok as long as the bathroom door is closed. Breakfast is pretty good with lots of fresh fruits. I would...

"There is a party every night on the beach, don’t believe what reception say that it’s just Friday and Saturday. The party Saturday night went on until 05:00 then there was a wedding party on Sunday and Monday nights that went on beyond midnight. If you are a light sleeper I suggest look elsewhere but if you can get past that then the view and room make up for it. We stayed in a junior suite and they are far away from the party so hate to think what the other rooms were like. The other thing is...

"The hotel is rather dated. Lots of scrapes and chips on furniture, skirtings and especially the bathroom. The service however was very good. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We had one evening meal in their restaurant which was lovely!! Liked the “robot-server” !! "
