The staff were friendly and helpful- we slept through dinner and were served a delicious fresh cooked meal in the middle of the night by room service with a smile! The pool area is perfect place to spend the day. Walking distance to coco beach . Transportation was easy to catch from the hotel. Breakfast served daily was fresh and delicious with many options. "This hotel in a colonial style typical of East Africa was just a gem. We were given a nice room, large enough and with all we could wish for. The staff as all Tanzanians were just the friendliest and most helpful, going out of their way to make our stay a delay. We felt cared for and appreciated. When we go back to Tanzania we will go back to Slipway. The area of the hotel offered everything the heart would enjoy on a vacation: Nice walks, good restaurants, little gift shops, clothing shops, cafes etc. Assante. "

"We loved White Sands Resort. We were six people in two one-bedroom apartments with a connecting door, just perfect for us. The kitchens were convenient, however one was not stocked at all and the other just had a few plates and a couple of forks and spoons. We didn't plan to do much cooking so didn't say anything about it, but probably the staff would have responded had we asked. Otherwise, the stay was perfect with excellent air conditioning and two pools plus lovely beach walks to choose from. Breakfast buffet was remarkable and got us started each day! "
