"Wonderful, friendly welcome and very well trained staff - just the right balance of attention and interaction. Very comfortable with quality surrounding us. Food excellent with a detailed explanation of dishes & wines. Lovely views over the Loch and walks within the grounds. Expedia had failed to pass on our booking to the hotel so we were not expected but staff recognised it was Expedia's failure but even so were apologetic and upgraded our room !"

"Fantastic situation which suited us and our 2 dogs perfectly. You need to be organised with food due to the nearest shop being over 30 miles away but that being said we found some fantastic eateries on our road trips around the area. The negatives are that the ceiling are very low the stairs awkward and narrow and the condition is basic. Take chairs with you so that you can enjoy the sun trap garden. Luckily we had really good weather (last week in Apri)"

"Everything about our stay from booking to departing could not have been better. Our host Katerina was always on hand to provide information updates and accommodate our needs. The cottage was outstanding in every way, well stocked with all the necessary items and some for a self catering stay. The cleanliness was top notch and the refurbishment which has taken place compliments the property so well. The views and area surrounding the cottage are to die for and put you into that relax mode as soon as you arrive. We cannot fault the cottage, location and surrounding areas at all. If what you are after is time away from the rat race of life and want to lose yourself in remote beauty in delightful accommodation then go no further. We will absolutely be going back. Katerina you are a fantastic host and thank you so much for allowing to experience your cottage and location."

"We have travelled and stayed in too many hotels to count. There have so far been 2 that have stood out in our minds as giving excellent service. The Loch Maree has jumped to number one. Duncan who welcomed us, was fantastic. He surpassed any previous number ones! He could not do enough to help and make sure that we were comfortable and had all that we needed. When the Callan, came back from his holiday, he again was lovely, helpful and kind, but Duncan had already taken the top spot. The food was very good. We noticed that some people complained about the lack of choice. It is the end of the season and hotels are closing down, so naturally the choice will be a bit less. Each night there was a couple of different choices, from the night before. Had absolutely no complaint about the food, presentation and flavours."
