"This house was perfect for our multi-family spring break trip to the Austrian Alps. The location of the house made it easy for us to take day trips to Salzburg, Hohenwerfen Castle, the salt mines and Innsbruck. We also enjoyed spending a day or two at the house. Our kids loved running and playing in the outdoors while we relaxed in lounge chairs by the pool. Nina is a wonderful host and on our last night there arranged for a friend to cook us a special dinner at the house. Bianca was wonderful....

The cost of linens and towels and cleaning fee should be built in to the final price but in the fine print it says you must pay in cash this extra amount. "Location was absolutely wonderful - so quiet and peaceful yet so many ski lifts within 30 mins drive. Gabriela and her family were wonderful hosts - we really enjoying meeting the animals (cats,dog, chickens and cows - not forgetting the gorgeous calf Gloria). The cabin was perfect and we really enjoyed the sauna. Thank you so much. I hope we get to come back some time soon."

"The cottage was ok, very small and rather outdated, but it did the job for a quick overnight stay during our Bavaria and Austria trip, would not recommend for longer stay. HOWEVER, not only are there additional guest and verbo service fees on top of the nightly charge, which is typical, but there's 70 eur cleaning fee in cash AND 10 eur per person towel and bed linen fee in cash! Each person has to bring their own bed linen and towels. And you'll receive an email with mattress and bedding...

"The house was exactly as described. The owners were very kind and very pleasant to deal with. The house is located on the side of a very large hill just outside Salzburg. It was very quiet and quite peaceful, as well extraordinarily beautiful. I would definitely stay here again."

"Cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. Plenty of rooms and spaces for our group of 8. Wonderful outdoor spaces too. And the hosts were incredible. Nina and Andy were easy to work with and helped us secure dinner reservations and made suggestions for great outings. Wish we could have stayed longer. "This is a perfectly located spot in Hallstadt. The cafe next door is fantastic and right on the water. You are still very close walking distance to the center of the town, but thankfully not surrounded by all the crowds of people. I enjoyed exploring the town before and after all the main bus loads of people were gone. Recommend the waterfall hike that is in close proximity. Space was clean and bed/shower was nice was comfortable. THE VIEW. You cannot beat it."

Their Breakfast offerings have both cold and hot stations. They had fresh fruits and fresh veggies. "If you are taking the ferry to Hallstatt, you get off the boat right in front of the hotel, very convenient. Hallstatt is not very big, but the hotel is pretty much in the middle of the town. The staff at the hotel is fantastic. The front desk staff has been super friendly and helpful and goes out of the way to help guests. We booked a superior double room with lake view, and from tips online i read that the same room type can be very different. Apparently you want to request the room at House Kainz and make sure the balcony can fit a table and chairs. It was nice to have a drink on the balcony looking at the lake. The only downside was that the restaurant wasn't that great. My husband was asked to changed out of his shorts before we can enter, which was annoying. I understand dress code but tbh, the restaurant isn't even that fancy. We have gone to fancier restaurants and they are fine with us wearing shorts, especially if we are tourists on vacation. The food was decent. There is not a lot of restaurant choices in town though, esp on a Monday, so make sure you make reservations if there are other restaurants you'd like to go to"
