"Hotel Maria is a real gem- low-key beach front, impeccably clean with a wonderful Italian restaurant right there overlooking the beach. We have stayed in many of the cottages, and on the houseboat (which was a wonderful experience), but our favorite is the Bluffs first floor. The property is pristine, the cottages are modern, clean, warm and welcoming. It is so peaceful to look out at the water and forget about the craziness of life. You won’t be disappointed!"

"The man at the front desk just handed me a key. He did not say anything about the breakfast, gym or dock on the salt pond. Another guest told us about the breakfast. It was the May long weekend and neither the pool or hot tub were open. Or maybe they were open but I couldn’t understand the man cleaning the pool! The pool is not heated and hot tub was cold. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They had a bar fridge and microwave but no coffee maker . The bathroom was dated with poor...

"Dank and musty smelling room, beat carpet with stains, AC unit had caked on dirt in vent. Tried to air out and had ro spray freshener both days but I'd still stunk. Plus when we showed up on Saturday afternoon they were pouring concrete outside the room. Horrible room 112. No other rooms available. Will never go back. "

"The Inn was lovely. The room was small, but authentic and fine. The problem is the food service is very spotty. The restaurant has limited hours and days- no breakfast except on weekends. Also if you have a room on a Monday, most of the day and all night there is no one working at all- you are alone! And on Tuesday when we needed to check out, there was no one working. We had to leave the keys in an unlocked room. "
