"We had a great stay - very comfortable bed and wonderful blackout curtains. We flew in very early in the morning and as it had been raining, we decided to try to drop off our luggage earlier than we were originally planning as there was a break in the rain. The staff were great and let us check in early (around 11am) as our room was ready which was much appreciated. Parking though not on site was very close by and convenient. Room and bathroom were very clean and fresh - not dated which for an old building i thought the photos might not be accurate but was very clean and modern / updated. The complimentry drink at the hennessy bar was a great surprise - we stayed a saturday night and was quite a vibe. We stayed here two nights, and then for another part of our trip we stayed at the avani residences but much preferred Mayfair. Would definitely stay here again!"

"This isn't our first stay at Stamford Plaza, it is a great place to stay, location is brilliant, staff are very friendly and helpful, room was great, comfortable bed and everything you need on hand. We didn't have any issues at all, nice touch to have complimentary water each day, even got some lindt chocolate on one of the days which was nice."

"Old and dated. Faded carpets and the continental breakfast was not worth it. The only good thing is it was close to the train and Rundle Mall"

"Our stay was decent, but I found the staff to be quite unhelpful. I had to manage all our luggage on my own since my husband was dropping off our rental car. The staff simply watched as I loaded everything onto the trolley, despite having a lot to carry. Thankfully, a worker who was fixing the lifts offered assistance and helped me get the trolley inside. We were also disturbed early in the morning by a fire alarm that required everyone to go downstairs. While I understand this wasn't the hotel's fault, it did disrupt our sleep significantly. As we returned to our rooms, the staff barely interacted with us. When I returned our key, the receptionist was on the phone; even so, a simple acknowledgment or a farewell gesture would have been appreciated."

"It was a clean room. Close to everything. The outside noise was really loud and we checked in late and reception had forgotten to give us a car park fob."
