"I was not expecting a code-style reception at "A Flemish Tale. To me, an in-person reception check-in is essential for a traveler overseas like me. Thankfully, I was waiting downstairs at least 2 hours before my "check-in time" at 3:00 p.m., so that I was able to meet, totally by chance, the lady in charge at the entrance. But for this, I would not have been able to get my access code. Imagine how scary it was! "

"Luxurious B&B, very tranquil, clean, quiet, nice modern rooms. Belgian beers & wine available at democratic prices. Owner couple runs this B&B and have gradually expanded it over the past 12 years to now 15 rooms. We stayed in the Superior Room type which seems try largest one and is the size of a studio with separate sitting area. Breakfast served in common area but otherwise no restaurant on-site. Biking and walking trails nearby. Highly recommended for a quiet stay near Dendermonde. "

"We stayed 1 night here for our trip to Ghent, myself and my two adult sons. The two rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The location is great, in a neighborhood with good restaurants and shops, but an easy walk to the square/tourist areas. We enjoyed the downstairs "honor bar", very convenient. "We were in Room 1 on the backside of the house. Great location in a great neighborhood, just minutes walk from the center of the city. Nice little courtyard - would have been great if the weather was better! Inside was interesting and unique decor, yet very spacious and comfortable. Parking was a bit difficult to figure out where we could park overnight for a reasonable cost (i.e. the orange zone) - wasn't too far away, but took me quite a while to figure out where it was."

"Wie hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt. Das Haus ist gemütlich und hat alles, was man braucht. Es liegt leider an einer stark befahrenen Strasse, aber dafür gibt es reichlich Ohrstöpsel wenn es einen im Schlaf stört. Es ist alles gut erreichbar und im Garten konnten die Kinder laufen und spielen. Vielen Dank für die Vorbereitung des Babybettchens und die nette Kommunikation."
