"Live this hotel, the view, the staff, how big it was and close to the park. In front of the station super convenient. Don’t get a taxi from there though because the hotel called in a taxi for us and told us it was going to be 4,000 yens and gave us a receipt but the taxi charged us almost 8,000 yens(on our way their). One taxi driver wanted to leave my parents in the middle of the road because that is were the 4,000 had marked, and kept insisting for them to get off even though my parents were like its okay we will pay the remaining just take us to the hotel ( on their way back)."

Kobe MerikenPark Oriental Hotel

"Phenomenal views of Kobe Port from the balcony and the night views are absolutely stunning. We took the West view facing the ferris wheel and enjoyed all the light shows in the evening. The hotel is a bit dated but no complaints at all. The free shuttle bus from Sannomiya station is super convenient. There is also a Family Mart within the hotel (closes at 11pm). The location is prime as it's a 3 minute walk to the Kobe Port Tower."
