"This is truly an outstanding hotel in Sri Lanka. The resort spreads out along a large lake with view points in the trees with views that will take your breath away - one evening we could hear the elephants on the other side of the lake - wonderful The entire area is well laid out with brick pathways taking in every inch so walking along these well maintained routes is lovely after an evening meal. The restaurant is fabulous with at least 5 separate areas of food laid out for everyone to try. I would like to mention Thakshila who took amazing care of me and introduced me to various new taste sensations - some were “different” but most were delicious. The pool is huge and the staff were welcoming and attentive. All in all my stay at Cinnamon Lodge was outstanding. If you visit Habarana - there really is only one place to stay"

"This is a beautiful property with spacious rooms that make you feel like you are living in a lush green space. Clean rooms, nice space to work, comfortable bed. The only small complaint I have is the internet was a little slow, video calls for work were blurry, but it worked! Breakfast buffet was really good with lots of options. Bar was pretty pricy but it was nice. The pool was also a welcome amenity after hiking. Would definitely recommend. "

"We loved staying at this hotel and found the setting and scenery very beautiful. the hotel consists of little bungalows inside the forest, right next to the lake. I would like to see more information about the hotel services to be more readily available in the rooms and public areas (ie spa & other facilities). the pool should be renovated and enlarged. Also the hotel should provide some paddle boats and kayaks for rent so that people can enjoy the beautiful lake."

"My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our Sri Lanka trip. The rooms were very big and clean, and it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. The staff were great, and organised a safari trip for us, and a very early excursion to Lions Rock. The hotel was quite far away from main attractions, and where local restaurants and bars are (about 20 minute drive). This was fine for us as we hired a moped so we could come and go as we please. However I’d bear this in mind if you’re not planning on driving, as you would have to arrange taxis, and would make it harder to explore the local area."
