"What a great place this is!! Between the restaurant and the brewery it’s fantastic. We were treated to live music out on the patio at the brewery which was a lovely surprise. The staff at reception were helpful and welcoming. Our room was quaint and immaculate. I would highly recommend you stay here. "

"Front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location is great. Our room was dark, with only a small window near the ceiling that we couldn’t see out of. The carpet was stained, the lampshade was torn, the overhead light shade was torn, there was mildew in the shower, and worst of all, there were stains on the fabric headboard. "

"the staff are excellent , always cheerful and helpful. sauna was not working which was a disappointment. One note to the hotel . we did not go swimming in the very inviting pool as the screen in the reception showed EVERYONE who was in the pool. Reposition the screen so only reception can view it . I would not re-book if it was still so visible to the public. No one likes to be seen in their swim wear by strangers"

"Run by a lovely family. This hotel is right on the John o’Groats trail (and in the centre of Tain) and provided a very comfortable nights stay after a long days walk. I noticed it also provides /thinks of the details that not all hotels (along the trail) do…. Bottled water, big pack of shortbread, giant tv (not the tiny wee ones you often get on the wall), alarm clock, in shower mat…."
