Great place in Avignon
We spent a very enjoyable month at Carla’s apartment while looking for long term housing. It was ideal for a long stay—the laundry machine and easy drying-rack set-up was very appreciated—and we imagine it would be great for a shorter time too. The apartment is clean, sunny, and spacious. The bed was comfortable. We loved the large windows and cute jade plants.
The building is well-located in a nice intra-muros neighborhood, across the street from a high school. While we could sometimes hear students during the day if the windows were open, it was very quite at night and on the weekend; the street felt very safe. Everything is accessible by foot, including a nearby shuttle to free parking. It was relatively easy to have a car at Carla’s, but certainly not necessary! (We only had one for one of the four weeks).
Carla herself was very responsive and helpful. She went above-and-beyond as a host, providing me with an « attestation d’hébergement » (proof of residence) so I could open a bank account. She even sent additional supporting documents right away when I called her during my bank appointment! She also gave us a heads up when there were bad storms so we wouldn’t be caught off guard. Thank you so much, Carla!
