Cute remodeled home, but a few issues

Recently renovated property; tastefully done, well appointed, nice amenities. What made the rating satisfactory at best: shower in the 2nd bathroom not working; it was freezing on the morning after check-in, and the thermostat cannot be adjusted, except remotely by the owners. It qas freezing in the morning. Owner responded less than promptly (Thanksgiving, I get it) and turned the heat on, but locking the setting. Freezing in the morning became sweltering at night. Suggestion: allow guests to control the indoor temperature during their stay. Remotely reset at time of check out.

Location, Location, Location

The home has been recently remodeled and in good condition. The home was clean, smelt and looked great when we arrived. The host was responsive and supportive. Due to how nice the home looked and me not knowing Austin that well, I didn't do research on the location in advance. The grocery store that was recommended in the digital guide, and the surrounding area was rough and concerning. We did bring some food in with us but did require a stop at the grocery store and a gas station. I recommended bringing everything needed or getting what's needed while out of the 78758 area. Do your research on the zip code and make plans to limit exposure in the surrounding area. The street itself and the neighbors there seemed safe, although the lighting of the streets was limited. We had access to the garage and the ability to pull our vehicle in. Again, great host and communication. Thank you!
