"This property deserves all the 5 star reviews it gets. My children called it "magical." It's a quiet setting with a marsh (tree frogs on the windows at night were a treat) and a small beach perfect for building sandcastles. We appreciated the use of the 2 stand up paddleboards, crab pots, and steamer. Decorated to a high standard with quality linens. It was lovely to go out on the dock at night and see stars and to sit at the firepit. Great communication, easy check in and reasonable check out...

The binder of all history and area activities a testiment of the hosts warmth and care for their guests, along with many details that really made me feel welcome. "This property is just as beautiful as the pictures imply. You couldn't ask for a better view to wake up to in the mornings. Something for everyone - we swam, kayaked, paddled, fished, crabbed, and boated. The grandparents read books on the porch enjoying the view. Fourth of July in downtown Belhaven was a scene from a Hallmark movie. We had a great time and would definitely return."

"We spent 3 lovely nights here in this lovely cottage. It had everything we needed. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were able to dock our boat outside on the creek giving us easy access to fishing and fun. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful get away!"

"House was just as described with a gorgeous backyard on the water. Loved the sun room and screened porch for relaxing. Only suggestion for future guests is to provide directions to the community pool as no one seemed to know where it was when we asked and we had to find it on our own - also the pool manager didn’t have our names as guests so we had to go through a whole process to get permission to use the pool."
